At Ashcan, we love inspiring young artists to explore not only techniques and materials but also storytelling and imagination. Recently, our Little Ashcan Kids embarked on a wonderful journey through our Featured Artist/Style/Era project, inspired by the timeless story of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The most exciting part was designing their own prince or princess to inhabit the planet 🧑🎨👑. Every student created a unique character, showing creativity, imagination, and personality. This project not only taught sculpture techniques and material handling but also encouraged storytelling, problem-solving, and expression.
It was inspiring to see how each child interpreted the story in their own way. Some planets were whimsical, some mysterious, and each prince or princess had their own personality and story 🌈💫. This project is a wonderful example of how art can bring stories to life and spark curiosity, empathy, and creativity in young artists.
We are so proud of our Little Ashcan Kids and can’t wait to see what other imaginative projects they explore next!
